Sermons delivered by Asa Hinckley at Yale College in 1826, and at West Woodstock and Willimantic, Connecticut, between 1833-1834. Hinckley was a member of the Class of 1829 at Yale. Between 1830 and 1833 he attended Yale Divinity School, although he was not ordained.

The Linonian Literary Society was founded in 1753. All undergraduates were allowed to be members of the Linonian Society.
